There is no such thing as an all inclusive list of picture books to teach Computer Science Concepts. This is a list broken down by categories that is compiled from several resources that I have found as well as those that have been used by myself and some of the amazing elementary grade level computer science teachers that I know. It also includes some books that I have found in various STEM/STEAM resources, some exceptional education resources, and some resources that I used when working on Augmentative and Alternative Communication systems (AAC) with students. If you have a great one that I have left off, please send me a message!
For teaching basic computer science vocabulary and concepts, I love this book. It is interactive, durable, and very basic. This could be a great resource to provide support to students when they need more concrete examples of concepts.
I also use the How to Catch series to create basic algorithms, sequencing, Conditionals, and Computer Model activities.Â
